Напомним, Лайнонен взялся за Road to Vostok в июне 2022 года, а зимой 2023-го портировал игру с Unity на Godot. Проект оказался одним из главных хитов фестиваля демо «Играм быть» в октябре и сроков выхода до сих пор не имел.
Как стало известно, Road to Vostok стартует в раннем доступе Steam уже 7 апреля 2026 года. Стоимость составит $15 (на запуске будет 25-процентная скидка). Анонс сопровождался насыщенным геймплейным трейлером.
События Road to Vostok развернутся в постапокалиптической пограничной зоне между Финляндией и Россией. Игрокам предстоит пересечь границу, чтобы попасть на Восток — в опасную зону, где одна ошибка может означать смерть (перманентную).
Обещают реалистичную стрельбу, обустройство собственного убежища, торговцев, завязанную на физике систему добычи и контейнеров с ней, динамичный мир со сменой дня и ночи, погоды и времён года (есть только зима и лето).
Источниками вдохновения для Road to Vostok послужили DayZ, Project Zomboid и Escape from Tarkov
На старте раннего доступа Road to Vostok предложит все основные геймплейные функции и примерно половину от запланированного контента (карты, торговцы, задания, оружие, предметы).
Полноценный релиз Road to Vostok ожидается через два−четыре года и, помимо нового и отполированного контента, будет включать более комплексные функции вроде кооператива, общих убежищ, инструментов моддинга и не только.
